To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally complain about a serious and dangerous design issue with your Paderno pots.
The area where the handle attaches to the pot becomes extremely hot during normal use. I have now been burned three separate times, resulting in painful blistering burns. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a safety hazard.
We are seniors, and this situation is especially concerning. I will absolutely not allow my frail husband to use these pots, as a burn or dropped pot could lead to severe injury. No reasonable consumer expects that special gloves normally reserved for handling molten lava would be required to safely lift a household cooking pot.
At no point was there any clear warning that the handle attachment point would reach dangerous temperatures or that extraordinary precautions were required. This is unacceptable and poses a real risk, particularly to older adults.
As a result, these pots are now being permanently retired from use.
I strongly urge Paderno to review this design flaw and address the safety risk before someone is seriously injured. At the very least, clear and prominent warnings should be provided to consumers.
I expect this concern to be taken seriously and look forward to your response.
